Air Blowing

LP Energy Services Group has designed equipment necessary to correctly perform various types of air blows on a variety of plant piping systems. Air blowing is a process by which a compressed air is utilized as a cleaning medium when its energy is released into a system. Some systems do not require surface preparation levels of cleanliness typically associated with steam blowing and chemical cleaning. Air Blowing can be effectively utilized to remove loose debris and contaminants using one of three types of air blowing processes. The turbulent air generated in any of the processes is enough to carry large construction debris as well as sand and dirt out of the system and safely into one of our exhaust separators.

Our air blow services supports an array of client needs whether as an effective cleaning process or as a preparation service used in combination with chemical cleaning or oil flushing or as a verification service following hydrolazing services in order to prove cleanliness and provide customers with verified cleaned systems prior to startup activities.

Offering the following air blow services

Continuous Blow

Effective for dehydrating small bore piping systems or removing fine particulate from stainless steel systems. Utilizes a compressed air source to continuous feed air into a system through a predetermined flow path and sequence.

Pulse Blow

Effective for cleaning small to medium bore piping systems. Utilizes a compressed air source in high density vessel to store a large volume of compressed air which is released into at the entry point to a system and blows through a predetermined path to a separator where the air is exhausted and the debris captured.

Decompression Blow

Effective for cleaning small and large bore piping systems. Compressed air fills the entire blow path and a high-density vessel. Once filled, a quick opening valve at the exit point is opened to release turbulent air flow which is exhausted into a separator which captures the foreign debris.
